LawTech.news is a weekly briefing on AI in legal practice. It is free and goes out every Friday.
The editor is Nick Watson. Nick has spent 25+ years building software, 20+ of them inside the legal industry. He founded Ruby Datum and was managing director and lead architect of a secure virtual data room used by "some of the world's biggest law firms" for M&A, litigation and due diligence. In 2023 he founded Sure Scale, a product and R&D company for legal tech.
It is written for lawyers, in-house legal teams, legal operations people, and the builders who make tools for them.
Each issue has three parts:
- What's new in legal AI: new tools, model releases, integrations, and what AI companies are building for legal work.
- Workflows to try: practical approaches to research, contract review, knowledge management, and legal operations, including the human review steps.
- The risks and the economics: confidentiality, unreliable citations, adoption, pricing, and what each change means for your practice and your clients.
